Saturday, April 1 • 12:00pm - 1:00pm
Citizen Science Petting Zoo

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Wondering why data should be open, or how making your data accessible to nonprofessionals could accelerate your research? Want to identify galaxies, spot penguins, read the personal correspondence of famous artists, and detect ripples in spacetime, all over the course of lunch? Come explore Open Data and Citizen Science! You’ll get a brief intro to the power and practice of Citizen Science, where to go to learn more and get involved, and finally, you’ll be set loose to explore the projects above as well as many others. The majority of this session will be a free-flowing and self-guided exploration of different projects.
